A Typical 'Dumper' Takes Eight-Weeks to Regret Their Decision: How Long Will It be Before Your Ex Misses You?

So you've been dumped? You don't necessarily have to grieve about it. If you still love your ex very much, you may just need to make the right moves to get him or her back. And you may soon realize that it may not be any longer than eight weeks that they'll regret the decision they made in breaking up with you, and realize that they want you back, too. No, you don't need those loudly advertised, so called "love spells or voodoo magic". All you need is some effort, determination and love.

First let us begin with what you should not do. Most of the people try these common tricks to get their ex to come back to them - but sadly enough, these tricks only prove counterproductive and push your ex even further away. So, if you want you're ex back, avoid these mistakes.

• Telling him/her time and time again that you still love them and want them back.

• Making apology calls and trying to assure them that you'll work to make things different.

• Using dirty tricks like manipulating with money, kids or jealousy factors to win them back.

• Trying to get sympathy out of your ex by acting depressed and love-torn

• Giving assurance that you have changed and ready to try again
  

No, sorry…but none of these tricks can help your cause.

Rather get on with your life and get back to normalcy first. May be your ex just needed some time off from the relationship and is already considering a "come back". Even if the come back does not happen too soon, just keep your calm rather than making frantic calls to him/her. Once you've got on with a comparatively comfortable life, just call up casually and ask if you both can still be on good terms and meet or talk as friends. No, do not mention anything about you wanting the relationship back. Just ask about their life and have a casual talk. This call may be enough to ignite sparks of inquisition as to why you are not trying to make a move or trying to get back together. If you do it right, your ex may even be making the first move to getting back with you.

Sometimes angry spouses or lovers spread bad words, or try to do things to upset the other partner, in order to diminish their own pain. THAT'S A BIG FAT NO-NO ON YOUR SIDE! And if your ex has resorted to these tactics, it will take a lot of patience and understanding on your part to not react to it. Their little antics may upset you, yes - but remember, your main goal here is to regain a relationship with them, not start a civil war! A simple 'non-reaction' from you may just be enough for your ex to give up on this immature trick and think positively about you and the relationship again. Once the 'bad spell' and fury dies down - usually at about the eight-week mark - your partner may be pacified enough to open their heart back up to you. After all, breakups are not always the end of the road for relationships … they can very well be a reason for brand new beginnings.
